Frequently Asked Questions

DELIVERY

How much are shipping costs?

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout depending on the weight and totals value of your order.

Do you offer international shipping?

If you’re outside of the UK, please send me an enquiry using the contact form and I will provide you with a quote on shipping.

How long will I be waiting for my art once I’ve paid for it?

I aim to have all orders dispatched within 7-10 business days.

If you have ordered a limited edition print this time allows me to have it printed and for me to sign and package your print. If there is going to be a delay due to unforeseen circumstances, for example if my printer’s have a busy workload, I will get in contact. If you need it sooner, please get in touch and I will do my best to facilitate this.

If you have ordered original artwork please allow up to 14 business days to receive your original artwork as these need additional measures to ensure safe transit. This time allows me to package your order securely to protect the artwork.

If you have ordered photography prints, A5 wall art prints or greetings cards these will usually be dispatched within 3-5 business days.

How will my order be shipped?

For all orders requiring postage costs I try my best to keep these to a minimum. I don’t buy fancy packaging or charge you extra for it.

I use First and Second Class Signed for through Royal Mail for limited edition prints and originals. Larger orders are sent via Parcel Force due to their weight and value. Original artwork and limited editions require postage with insurance, this is why I use these options.

If you order an original piece of artwork or limited edition print and it has a value of less than £20 you will not be charged for ‘signed for’ delivery, this will be sent at standard Royal Mail First and Second Class postage prices, which you can choose at checkout. (Please note this excludes sale items where the sale price is £20 or less as the original value of these will still apply for insurance reasons)

For greetings cards, A5 prints and photography prints I use Royal Mail Standard delivery (First and Second class).

You can select either First or Second class for your order at checkout.

You will receive an email upon dispatch.

All prints are packaged with backing board in a cellophane bag in a ‘Please do not bend’ envelope.

Originals will be wrapped and packaged securely according to size and weight.

Can I collect in person?

Yes, absolutely! And the best bit is there are no “click and collect” charges - it is FREE! Please select this option at checkout if you would like to collect your artwork in person. I will then email/text you to arrange a suitable date and time for collection.

Please note when choosing this option that I am based in Leicestershire, LE17.

COMMISSIONS

Do you take commissions?

Yes absolutely. Send me a message on the contact form and we can discuss your individual needs.

Commission slots are FULL for 2022 but I am taking bookings now for 2023.

Can you draw or paint from photos?

Yes. This is my preferred method to work from and am happy to help you choose appropriate photos to use as reference.

How much do you charge for commissions?

I charge £25 per hour which includes all materials (Framing is an additional cost or you can provide the frame yourself, this is often the option my customers choose as they want a frame to match their home decor).

If you send an enquiry for a commission I will generate a quote for your requirements.

If you decide to go ahead with the commission a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking in my diary.

FRAMING

Do your prints come framed?

No, prints do not come framed, if you buy a limited edition print you will receive the print only.

Are frames included with original artworks?

Yes, where stated in individual artwork descriptions, frames are included with originals.

What frames do you use?

The frames I use are inexpensive, (unless stated as a custom made frame).

There are a few reasons for this.

Nowadays, most people want to match a frame with their decor and style, so they may change the frame once they have received their order. I try to use frames to compliment the work, not detract from them.

Also, if I used more expensive frames I would have to charge a lot more for my Art. Framing is a costly and laborious task, therefore, it is much easier for me to use inexpensive frames for my artworks and not raise my prices.

Where stated that I have used a custom made frame for a piece of artwork the price will reflect this. On occasion I will work with local framers in Leicestershire to frame certain pieces.
