Pen on paper

Image 6 × 4 inches

Presented mounted and packaged in a protective cellophane sleeve. This piece does not come framed. Ready to fit standard frame size 10 × 8 inches

This monochrome piece by Leicestershire artist, Lois Pedley, is a fine example of Lois’ attention to nature in her work. A dragonfly is depicted here resting amongst the foliage. Lois has used her favourite technique, stippling, to create this pen drawing.

A note from the Artist about this piece:

Dragonflies are supposed to be a symbol of change. I thought a lot about this concept whilst working on this piece. The changes we see every day as the world turns. The changes we see in ourselves day to day, year to year. I thought a lot about myself, and how I am in a different place today than I imagined. I thought about where I might be if I hadn’t changed. I changed and evolved because of many factors. Most of which I am actually grateful for, because, I understand that change is inevitable, sometimes messy and difficult, but what it has led me to is really good. I love the way I have changed. What, and who I am, I changed for me and thats beautiful.
