I painted you in a day. Then I stared at you for two years, struggling to find your name. Then one day, like a lightening bolt, it hit me, ‘Enigma’. I wasn’t supposed to name you until I’d realized what you are. You were meant to enlighten me, intrigue me, perplex me. You were an enigma from the first swipe of the palette knife to the eureka moment that led me to your true nature. And if I’m being honest, I think you always will be. An enigma about life, an enigma about myself, an enigma about all women. You are beautiful, misunderstood and revered by all those who don’t dare to dream with you.
