This stunning mixed media piece by Leicestershire Artist Lois Pedley is an exquisite example of Lois’ ability to capture the delicate and beautiful shapes of roses. The use of a limited palette here is enhanced by her use of metallic watercolour paint, allowing the rose to come alive with varying shades of colour and light. .

A rose is anything but simple. However, sometimes we have to break something down into its simplest form to truly appreciate it.

‘Glory Days’ is part of an ongoing collection of drawings and paintings Lois uses to celebrate the fleeting moments of roses in bloom and immortalise them as an Art form.
