‘Calm Waters' is a representation of how being by the water calms Leicestershiire Artist Lois Pedley. Haviing spent her childhood years living in a seaside town she finds comfort and solace whenever she can visit the ocean.

A note from the Artist about this piece:

My love for water is clearly evident in my works focussed on the sea. But water itself is a great calming influence to me, the sounds and rhythmic flow are hypnotic and I cant resist them. Studies like this are important, they remind me of just how grateful I am for nature and all it can do for us. It provides mental clarity, nurtures us, educates us and invites us to embrace it’s ever evolving stages of change. I crave the water like nothing else, it is home to me.
